桃山皮月饼Maruchi mooncakes are 90 g minis with a soft Japanese Momoyama-style skin made from white kidney beans. They come in tea, fruit, sesame, chocolate and pistachio flavours. Six of the eight flavours have 30 g or less of total sugar per 100 g and are in our Less Sugar range. All are halal certified and contain no pork, lard or alcohol. What is a Maruchi mooncake?
A Maruchi mooncake has a soft Japanese Momoyama-style skin made from white kidney beans instead of a traditional golden-syrup crust. It is soft and smooth. Our Maruchi mooncakes are 90 g minis.
Is a Maruchi mooncake baked or snow skin?
It is neither. Maruchi uses a soft white bean skin. It is not the same as a traditional baked crust or a chilled rice-based snow skin. It has a soft, smooth bite and holds its shape at room temperature.
Is Maruchi mooncake lower in sugar or healthier?
Six of the eight flavours have 30 g or less of total sugar per 100 g and are in our Less Sugar range. Matcha Red Bean is 33.0 g and Mango Pomelo is 37.7 g, so they are not in this range. Less Sugar describes the sugar amount on the label. It is not a health claim.
Are YuBake Maruchi mooncakes Halal?
Yes. All Maruchi mooncakes are halal certified. They also contain no pork, lard or alcohol.
Are Maruchi mooncakes suitable for vegetarians, vegans and buyers with allergies?
They contain egg and sesame, so they suit vegetarians who eat egg but not vegans. Most contain peanuts, and some contain wheat or tree nuts such as hazelnuts, pistachios and almonds. The facility also processes milk, soy, nuts, coconut and fish. Check the ingredient list on the product packaging.
How should I store Maruchi mooncakes, and how long do they keep?
Keep them cool and dry, away from direct heat, unless the packaging says otherwise. The printed date on the product packaging is the final guide. If you are gifting, order close to the delivery date for the best texture.
Can I mix Maruchi flavours in one gift set?
Yes, selected gift sets allow you to mix flavours. Sets may contain 2, 3, 4 or 6 pieces. Check the current product page for the available choices.
Can YuBake deliver Maruchi mooncakes or offer self-collection?
We deliver throughout West Malaysia. Delivery starts at RM9 per address in Klang Valley and RM15 per set in West Malaysia; the exact fee appears at checkout. Ask us about East Malaysia or Singapore. Free self-collection is available from YuBake Coffee or Kuchai Lama daily from 12pm to 6pm.
